I decided to craft a liner note,
On which a poem could gently float,
A tribute to where imagination can go,
If we work on nurturing that natural state of flow.
You know - the daydream that just won’t obey,
That gaze out the window (whose timing isn’t ok),
The place you would rather be instead of where you are,
The inner state that strongly withstood all those institutional scars.
A world undefined by status, looks, and fashion,
A realm of infinite expansion dependant on the depth of one’s passion,
A trance in which the body is the exposed part of a cosmic dance,
All in the service of revealing one moment, one chance.
So through the resonance of a historic hall,
Containing the memory of a prophet's speech,
Whose message we still need to obey and urgently heed its call,
The air retaining a fraction of those particles once preached.
There came a study in the key of now,
Through a piano as balanced as ancient stone gravity art,
Allowing conflicting energies to seek council, reach consensus,
Enabling a space for every ear, mind, heart and soul present - to take part.

supported by 45 fans who also own “A Study (In The Key Of Now)”
A fantastic recording that documents the joy of two musicians I love for their unassuming way of playing together... Daniel Carter is one of the most underrated contemporary woodwind players, and Jessica Ackerley has brought back my enthusiasm for listening to guitar in recent time. jiristepan
