RIYL: noise, avant, experimental, free improvisation

In January 2018, Jerkagram played a show in Los Angeles and Martín Escalante was also on the bill, performing with a different band. The members of Jerkagram were immediately struck by Martín's unique sensibilities and unmistakeable talent. Soon after, Jerkagram asked him to collaborate and realized quickly that their unified sound was something innovative and new. Intrigued to pursue the collaboration further, they headed to a recording studio in West Hollywood to create the album.

Parkour is the result of days full of joy and sweat, peaking in moments of explosive high energy cathartic noise that push the limits of human physical endurance. The three musicians pursue one another over the course of the five tracks on this album as if in chase, or even in battle; persistent tugging is met with a shove or, on occasion, even a slap in the face. Glücklich Jazz, the final long track of the recording session, is at long last the tantric downhill fall that allows the band room to breath, stretch and even slightly relax.
